제목 : Interface engineering for high performance organic devices
내용:  In recent decades, the demands on high performance semiconductor devices have rapidly increased and new concept semiconductors which can overcome the limit of a conventional inorganic semiconductor have been widely investigated in various research fields. Among them, organic semiconductor devices, such as organic photovoltaics (OPVs), organic lightemitting diodes (OLEDs), and organic field-effect transistors (OFETs), have attracted significant interest due to their unique advantages including simple fabrication method, light weight and mechanical flexibility. Since organic semiconductors are lacking the intrinsic carriers, the charge carrier has to be injected through organic/electrode and organic/organic interfaces for device operation. Thus, the charge injection efficiency is the most important factor in determining device performance. To improve charge injection efficiency for high performance organic devices, interface engineering which reduces the charge injection barrier is necessary. In this presentation, various strategies modifying the electronic structure at the interfaces using functional interlayers are presented. The origin of improvement in device performance (e.g. interface dipole) is elucidated with determining the energy level alignment using photoelectron spectroscopy and inverse photoelectron spectroscopy measurements.
